The ray of hope

The ray of hope

Allah jalla wa ‘alā commands us to two things: firstly, to *do* the obligatory matters, and secondly to *not do* the prohibited matters.

Yet the first is more important than the second. That’s why Iblīs when he failed in the first (to DO the Sajdah) he was not forgiven. And when Ādam (‘alayhis-salām) failed in the second (to NOT eat from the Tree) he was forgiven.

That’s why even if you are a sinner, you’ve ALWAYS got a chance as long as you keep performing your obligations. Keep up your Ṣalāh, Ṣadaqah, good family relations, voluntary work etc. Don’t ever despair from the Mercy of Allah. Don’t let Shayṭān put you off as he whispers to you “Hypocrite! Hypocrite!” He just can’t get over the fact that even though you sin – and repeatedly so unfortunately – you’re still better than he is because you will still do as much as you can from the obligations.

Keep yourself in the game. Keep up your ‘ibādah despite your bad moments, even if those bad moments are most of your moments. In shā Allāh things will fix up for you soon as long as you keep on “doing”!

Best of the two!

Best of the two!

PONDER, why are these two the best?

Read Tafsir Ibn e Kathir of Surah Fatiha to know. (http://www.qtafsir.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=84&Itemid=35)

The Prophet (sallahu alaihi wassalam) Said:

‘The best of remembrance is La ilaha illallah (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and the best of supplication is Al-Hamdu Lillah (praise is to Allah).

Keep calm and leave it….

Keep calm and leave it....

Aoa! Today I have been wondering about things we love to do in this dunya. Things that normally distract us from achieving the higher goals of Akhirah due to excessive indulgence of thought and action.

I understand the fact that all human beings have natural feelings towards the things they love. I often get that feeling when I decide about something I am going to leave for good. It can be a habit or something that belongs to you. If you love them and you’ve got to leave them due to some reason, it hurts and it is hard to get going without it. Leaving music, giving wealth in the cause of Allah, giving up bad habits like smoking, dirty jokes; can be anything. Leaving it always difficult.

But what we should NEVER FORGET is THE REWARD. Bigger and Greater, certainly! When one leave something for the sake of Allah? For the love of our Creator because He doesn’t like it? Then the pain gets easier, doesn’t it? Why because it is for the greater good.

You know what, one of the excellent kinds of Hijrah defined by Prophet Muhammad (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) is as follows:

“A man said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Which emigration (Hijrah) is best?’

He (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘To leave what your Lord (Allah), the Mighty and Sublime, dislikes.’..”

So if you have been planning since a long time about leaving all those bad things then NOW is the time ikhwan. Leave it, replace it with something good and make sure your intentions are pure to get a confirm ticket for unlimited reward from Rab ul Alamin. May Allah give us tawfeeq.

“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better” [41:34]

Zip Zip Zip!

Zip Zip Zip!

If two Muslims talk to each in seclusion where the third is only Allah SWT and they fight and both wrong one another then

Make sure no one must know about it except for the fact that someone is to be considered a judge to resolve the conflict. Else it would be considered eating the flesh of your brother (backbiting). May Allah cure our hearts and resolve our conflicts. Ameen.

THE BIG STRONG MEN!

THE BIG STRONG MEN!

Upon visiting a local gymnasium, you’ll find a lot of people having big broad muscles in their shoulders, arms, thighs, abs and they are working out like crazy to produce them and to maintain them? Why, because great workout increases stamina while stronger and powerful muscles can exert more force. Such guys wrestle to prove how strong and powerful, leaving everyone in awe. Well, everybody wants to become like them, don’t we? Like, BIG STRONG MEN!

But do you know whom Allah’s Messenger Muhammad (Sallahu alaihi WA alahi wasallam) regarded as the strongest among men? He said:

“The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger.”
[Abu Hurairah RA : Sahih al-Bukhari 6114]

How many of us exhibit such power and might? This is what makes us stronger in real terms! You don’t believe me? Try controlling your anger for the next 7 days and prove it wrong! 🙂

Gaining Intelligence : Ofcourse With the Help of Qur’an.. by Nisaar Y. Nadiadwala

Image

Many of us think that intelligence is directly propotional to our IQ in Maths, Language and Science. The higher marks you get the more intelligent you are taken as. But we observe a lot of foolishness and lack of intelligence even among those who are Toppers in Academics. An advocate can win any case by his brilliance in arguments and reasoning.  But he doesnt apply the same reasoning when he worships a ‘created god’. He doesnt argue with his own self. A doctor diognises sickness and identifies it but he cannot diaognise his own sickness when he watches obscene movies sitting his in drawing room along with his family!  An Architect designs a huge structure but he  doesnt acknowledge the administrator of the huge universe and its system, rather he seeks refuge in Astrology and Vastu shashtra. Theologically, either they are not intelligent  or they refuse to use their intelligence.

The Qur’an also speaks about intelligence. Rather it teaches how to be intelligent. The verses are wll known to us and they have passed by our eyes many times but we did not use our intelligence to ponder into it. So let us revise the lesson. I am referring to Suratul An’am  , ch 6, verse 151. You have to open it to enjoy the verse and understand it.. I am just putting the translation below:

Say ! I will rehearse what Allah has prohibited you from . Join not any partners with him

Be good to our parents

Kill not ( do not Abort) your children out of the fear of poverty, We provide you and them

Do not come near to shameful deed, whether open or secret

Do not kill , whom Allah has made sacred, except by the way of Justice and law

THUS HE COMMANDS YOU SO THAT YOU  MAY BECOME INTELLIGENT..lA’AL LAKUM T’AQILOON

These are six things mentioned in the above verses that are leads man to  intelligence. The purpose of the verse is in the last phraseof the verse : SO THAT YOU MAY BE INTELLIGENT.  The word ‘AQL’ is Arabic root word which also means to reason or to use intelligence.

There are millions of advocates and lawyers across the world earning through their reasoning skills but they worship human gods or dont worship God at all. The main reason? They do not reason with their own self. They follow congectures, and imaginery things.

Be good to your parents : This is another clause of intelligence. Our parents are the ones who has the most amount of obligations upon us. Our mother bears our load in her pregnancy and then till we are infant. Our father bears our expenditures till we earn. But we see that many of us respect our bosses and seniors more. Our boss pays us because we have worked for them. He is becoming richer via our hardwork. Our parents feed us for? A natural obligation upon us with no selfish expectation. That is why it is a natural intelligence that our parents deserve  ‘IHASN’  a beautiful conduct. That is intelligence.

Do not kill your children out of a fear of poverty. We provide to you and to them. In this age of super education where every goverment has a target up 100% literacy we see killings of children in abundance. If you dont abort your child then you are intelligent. One may ask, where is the intelligence here? The result will be seen in future when yuo grow old and your only child is away in the US or other city and your only daughter is married and busy with her family and you are lonely. If your child is selfish he may not give your expenses too ! But ti wil be too late to realise  what the Qur’an said 1400 years ago is true even today : They are in loss who kill their children out of foolishness without knowledge. China, which practised one child per family is growing into a nation with a surplus of senior citizens. From where will the Government provide pensions to them. Can pensions provide them the comfort of  a companionship ? There is a concept of Rizq in the ayah. Your degrees and grades do not earn you wealth rather it is Allah who provides. This is intelligence.

Do not go close to shameful deeds, whether open or secret. The Arabic word here is Fahisha..the word for sex outside marraige is zina. Fahisha is something that leads to zina. So it is intelligent not to fall prey to obscene movies, bad friends, peer pressure, indecent dressings and fashions, and vulagar lanaguage. All this is fahisha. Keep away.

Do not take life which Allah has  made sacred , except  by the way of justice and law.  Thats it. In a broader sense or current scenario it meeans… do not attack nations and plunder their natural wealth , kiling their civilians. That is not intelligence.

So these are the commands of Allah  SO THAT WE BECOME INTELLIGENT. Intelligence is not taught only in Havard and Cambridge but it is developed along with the spiritual upbringing, understanding the differnce between haram and halal and accepting it and observing it. Are we really intelligent?

Dare to love like that!!!! – Br. Abdullah Intekhab

What’s SO wrong with our people that we’re SOOO dependent on other ideologies for our day-to-day lives. We need “a” day to show love to our loved ones; we need “a” day to show love to our mothers… cuz if we miss “Mother’s day” then lo behold all hell will break lose and I can’t show my mother that I love her for the remaining 364 days of the year.

I won’t even say that these things are “Un-Islamic” because that’s what our people have the biggest problem with: “now that everyone’s calling it un-islamic it MUST be cool.”
These things are simply IDIOTIC!

And just like EVERY other societal issue, these idiosyncrasies HAVE to leave our society so that we can with confidence (once and for all) say that man has NOT infact evolved from Baboons! (cuz right now that’s how we act: monkey see money do)

If you want to love; here’s how a MAN loves:

The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: ”When a husband and wife look at each other with love, Allah looks at both with Mercy”
[Bukhari 6:19 & Tirmidhi 14:79]

Once the Prophet (salAllahu alaihi wassalam) was sitting with Amaa Aisha (radhiAllahu anha) and fixing his shoes. It was very warm, and Aisha (radhiAllahu anha) looked at his blessed forehead and noticed that there were beads of sweat on it. She became overwhelmed by the majesty of that sight. She was staring at him long enough for him to notice. He said, “What’s the matter?”

She replied, “If Abu Bukair Al Huthali, the poet, saw you, he would know that his poem was written for you.”
The Prophet (salAllahu alaihi wassalam) asked, “What did he say?”

She replied, “Abu Bukair said that if you looked to the majesty of the moon, it twinkles and lights up the world for everybody to see.”

So the Prophet (salAllahu alaihi wassalam) got up, walked to Aisha, kissed her between the eyes, and said, “Wallahi (By Allah) ya Aisha, you are like that to me and more.”

Wallahi, THIS is love and nothing else and we as Muslims love the whole year round, Allah hu Akbar!

2012 in review. WordPress compiled it for me. Nawice! :)

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,300 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 4 years to get that many views.
